April 19th marked our 2017 Journey To Life Dinner.

We had an icredible evening at The Valhalla Inn. The event, Emceed by CBC's Lisa Laco, featured our Step Into My Shoes Reception, a Silent Auction, an incredible dinner and an inspirational message from Jay Barnard- Chef Recovery.

​Wacky's
Wings For Charity

On March 2nd we had an incredible night at Wacky's Wings For Charity!

The night featured a wing eating contest and also included a food drive for our Food Bank.

A special thanks goes out to Wacky's and the Thunder Bay Dining Group for including us in this awesome event.

Kettle Campaign Through the Roof!!

The Salvation Army Thunder Bay would like to say: Thank you so much to all of our volunteers and donors for making our Christmas kettle campaign a HUGE success!  We had set an ambitious goal of $190,000 and ended up with over $220,000!!

It takes many people to make this happen, from our staff, to over 850 volunteers, to our media partners and of course the retail outlets that allow us to place our kettles in their stores.  We couldn't have done it without each of you!

The kettle locations were:
Intercity Mall
Superstore
Walmart - County Fair
Walmart - Memorial Avenue
Walmart - Arthur Street (Fridays and Saturdays only - starting on November 25)
Grandview Mall
LCBO locations - County Fair, Thunder Centre and Arthur Street.

The money raised supports our Christmas work and the work of our Community & Family Services throughout the year.

Thanks again for helping The Salvation Army to continue our work in the city of Thunder Bay!
Santa Shuffle
We had another great event on December 3, with almost 200 participants!  The weather was beautiful and everyone had a great time!
